About this Position / Responsibilities

• The Azure Senior Security Engineer will collaborate with experienced staff to focus on web and Windows applications used internally and by constituents.
• The role requires expertise in IT security and cloud security, with experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications (5+ years of experience in):

• IT security or cloud security roles
• Securing Azure environments
• Azure Security Services (Azure Defender, MS Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, Azure Policy and Blueprints, Azure Security Center)
• Azure Active Directory (conditional access, MFA, identity protection)
• Knowledge of PIM and RBAC
• NSGs, ASGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, hybrid connectivity security
• Regulatory compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Threat modeling, vulnerability management, SIEM/SOAR tuning, security response workflows
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
• CI/CD security integration (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Security architecture reporting and documentation
• Risk assessment and mitigation

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity standards and practices is required. Familiarity with mobile and responsive design is a plus. Minimum 5 years’ experience working with software development teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or recognized industry certifications (e.g., MS Certified Cybersecurity Architect, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM) are highly desired.

Preference will be given to candidates in the East Coast Time Zone.
