About The Team

The Workday Help team develops and maintains the Knowledge and Case Management products used globally by companies like Toyota and Netflix. We focus on delivering quality solutions, exploring new technologies like GenAI, and supporting your growth in a collaborative environment.

About The Role

As an Associate Software Development Engineer, you will influence the user experience of our Knowledge and Case Management products. Your work will involve collaboration across teams, contributing to both front-end and back-end development, utilizing technologies such as TypeScript, Kotlin microservices, and Workday's XO stack. You will also have opportunities to develop skills in Generative AI to enhance our products.

Your Responsibilities

1. Engage in mentorship and seek guidance from senior team members.
2. Contribute to product development, working closely with the team.
3. Participate in knowledge sharing and improve development processes.
4. Contribute to technical discussions and understand user needs.
5. Collaborate in an in-office environment at least 50% of the time.
6. Help foster a strong engineering culture.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience building software applications, with an understanding of enterprise concepts.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design, data structures, and algorithms. Exposure to Kotlin or Java is a plus.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and modern front-end frameworks.

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively.
• Interest in virtualization and build technologies like Docker, AWS, GCP, Webpack, Gradle, Jenkins.
• Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow.
• Strong communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges for Victoria, BC: $88,400 - $132,600 CAD, with additional benefits and potential bonuses. Details will be provided during hiring.

Work Flexibility

Our Flex Work approach combines in-person and remote work, requiring at least 50% in-office presence per quarter, allowing flexible scheduling to suit your needs.
