Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.
Join us as an Sr. Architectural Technologist (Construction Administration) in Calgary Architectural Practice. This role will expose you to working drawings ranging from mixed use, commercial, and residential mid-rise (wood frame) and high-rise buildings. You will be a part of the team that will support with design development, working drawings and detailing. The successful candidate will offer a robust portfolio of details and construction documents showing an array of projects and a holistic understanding of the design process. As the successful candidate, you will be an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative detailing solutions. Role Accountabilities:

• Prepare working drawings using Revit
• Develop documentation for design, permits, and tenders
• Coordinate with disciplines and consultants for high-quality documents
• Review and comment on contract documents, specifications, shop drawings
• Site reviews and meetings
• Manage project documentation, change notices, orders, and payments
• Coordinate with consultants and maintain office documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5-8 years in an architectural firm
• Diploma in Architectural Technology
• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office
• Experience in construction administration
• Experience with mid-rise (wood frame) and high-rise projects
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate projects
• Portfolio in PDF (<10MB) or web link required
