As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Analyst, IT Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for functional system integration and acceptance testing across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business dynamics to define and document criteria for testing and present results following the defined testing methodology. The Senior Analyst troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintains test system configurations, and executes test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards. The role exercises judgment and autonomy on day-to-day tasks, analyzing and resolving complex problems during test execution or escalating issues as needed. The role proactively addresses problems within scope and identifies areas for improvement.

Execute Testing Activities: Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate end-to-end testing activities for small and large projects across multiple teams, including onsite and offshore resources.
Relationship Building: Respond to client inquiries and requests, providing high-quality professional customer service to ensure satisfaction. Liaise and interact with clients as part of daily management of your portfolio technology to support objectives or resolve issues.
Collaboration: Work with test leads, business analysts, and development teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software projects and meet project constraints by reviewing documentation.
Monitor & Reporting: Monitor project adherence to quality standards, track and report testing progress, and ensure testing activities comply with standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Recognize, anticipate, and resolve challenges during testing.
Experience in Software Testing Life Cycle: Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
Education: Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Attention to detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for details that others might miss. Critical thinking to inform decision-making.
Data interpretation: Ability to investigate complex problems, analyze information, and communicate detailed findings effectively.
