Position Overview
- Title: SR. SQL DBA
- Line of Business: Capital Market, PBBT, and Retail Banking
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months with potential extension or conversion to FTE depending on budget and performance
- Work Location: 81 Bay 16th Floor, Hybrid (in office every Tuesday)
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with some flexibility; overtime and weekend on-call may be required
- Reason for Opening: Backfill for a contractor who left for personal reasons
Project and Team Information
The contractor will support Oracle build, migration, performance tuning, and incident resolution. The team consists of 20 DBAs, divided into two sub-teams supporting various business lines, performing complex troubleshooting, code deployment, and BAU activities.

Daily Responsibilities
- Lead technical resolutions for production incidents
- Communicate complex technical issues to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with standards and security policies
- Analyze incidents for service improvements
- Participate in on-call support, incident management, scheduled disaster recovery, and post-mortems
Technical Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Optimize database performance
- Implement security best practices and native security features
- Develop high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Automate monitoring and maintenance tasks
Must-Have Skills
- 5-7 years of SQL DBA experience
- MS SQL and PostgreSQL experience
- Database setup, installation, and configuration
- Performance tuning, query optimization, troubleshooting
- Cloud migration experience
- Knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery processes
