As we continue with our growth strategy, we are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Sprinkler Fitter based in Edmonton.

JOB DETAILS:

The Sprinkler Fitter will report to the Construction Manager and his designate. This is a permanent position. We are seeking a customer-focused, highly organized, and experienced fitter. The successful candidate will have previous experience performing new installation and renovation/retro-fit related work.

Position Requirements:

A Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for the installation, service, and repair of fire protection systems, including: wet, dry, pre-action, and suppression systems; as well as fire pumps and backflow devices. What makes you valuable?

  1. Certified Sprinkler Fitter with a valid trade certification (e.g., Red Seal, Journeyman Ticket)
  2. A member of UA Local 488 in good standing
  3. Follow verbal and written instructions.
  4. Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  5. Majority of work all above head
  6. Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  7. Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities
  8. Ability to work flexible hours.
  9. Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  10. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  11. Security Clearance is an asset.
  12. Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Additional Requirements for All Candidates:

  1. Valid safety certifications (e.g., CSO, WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, Confined Space Monitor & Entry, Advance Rigging Certificate, EWP, H2S Alive, APR-Fit Test).
  2. Ability to work in any locations and adapt to shift schedules.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
