Mercor is seeking part-time data analysts to run real data analysis and spreadsheet tasks on a Mac, contributing to high-quality training data for advanced AI models. You will work around 10–20 hours weekly, with clear, structured duties and an emphasis on low-pressure learning.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a Masters or have 2–3 years of relevant experience plus a strong Bachelor’s degree, and can clearly articulate their reasoning and conclusions. Immediate start preferred.

Formación

• Own a MacBook or Mac with Apple M-series/Intel, macOS 15+.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets.
• Experience with SQL, Python or BI tools is a plus.
• Pursuing or recently completed Masters or 2-3 years experience + Bachelors from a top institution.
• Ability to clearly explain reasoning and communicate effectively.

Role Overview:

Mercor is looking for data analysts and spreadsheet specialists with 2-3 years of experience, or currently enrolled postgrad students in a quantitative field, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real data analysis workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models)

• Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
