CBI Home Health in Oshawa, ON is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support clients in Oshawa, Courtice, and Bowmanville. The role involves assessments, swallowing management, and communication interventions in home-based settings, with an interdisciplinary team.

The position offers flexible scheduling, travel within communities, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must be licensed in Ontario and have a valid driver's license to deliver care at clients'

Qualifications

• Licensed with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Ability to deliver care in person and via telehealth.
• Strong communication and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to person-centred care and critical thinking.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $87 - $97 per visit

What you will do

• Assessment and implementation of SLP interventions (i.e. swallowing assessments, dysphagia management, communication, etc.) in a home-based setting
• Use of a collaborative and interdisciplinary team-based approach to care and services
• Support a holistic and restorative approach to care (i.e. enhanced stroke pathway; cognitive communication supports, etc. )
• Leverage our digital health platforms to support care delivery, collaboration, documentation, and intervention

What you will need to be successful

• You are registered as a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Your focus is to embrace person and family-centered care
• You are comfortable delivering care both in person and using virtual methods/technology
• You are passionate, empathetic, use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
• You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
• You are flexible and have demonstrated skills in critical thinking that you can apply to a variety of situations.
• You value the role a therapist plays in keeping clients at home, where they want to be
