Interior Health Authority is seeking a Permanent Full Time Speech-language Pathologist for Inpatient Rehabilitation at Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. Days: Mon–Fri, 07:30–15:30 with autonomous practice and collaboration with a caring team.

The role focuses on assessment and intervention across typical development and communication disorders, contributing to department quality assurance and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Autonomous professional with expertise in typical development and disorders of communication, plus assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language assessment and intervention for inpatients in rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams to promote effective communication environments.

What will you work on?

Join a dynamic and dedicated team of caring professionals as an autonomous professional who has expertise in typical development and disorders of communication as well as assessment and intervention in these areas. The Speech-Language Pathologist may work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with them for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education.
