Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a casual role serving the Abbotsford region. You will perform screening, assessment and intervention, documenting progress and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to plan care.

You will guide Speech Language Assistants, provide family education, and participate in program meetings and research as required. Registration and a valid BC driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of Speech Language Pathology with relevant clinical experience.
  • Current active registration with BC health professionals or eligible for CASLPA/BCSLPA.
  • Valid BC driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening, assessment, diagnosis, intervention and follow-up for preschool clients.
  • Plan, implement and record treatment programs with interdisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Provide guidance to Speech Language Assistants and educate families and caregivers.
  • Participate in team conferences, program planning and research activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of current developments in Speech/Language Pathology and ensure quality care.
