How will we help you grow?

Interior Health offers excellent benefits and many opportunities to maximize your skills. We are an organization where you have room to grow in a place where life outside of work is just as important to us as it is to you.

What will you work on?

Join a dynamic and dedicated team of caring professionals as an autonomous professional who has expertise in typical development and disorders of communication/swallowing as well as assessment and intervention in these areas. The Speech-language Pathologist will work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with these people for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing for adults requiring this care. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education.

How will you create impact?

The SLP has the potential to change the trajectory of our clients’ lives by improving their speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an SLP with experience/preference that will include outpatient and acute care services. The SLP will have excellent oral and written communication abilities & be able to connect with people from all types of backgrounds. The SLP will be creative in supporting clients’ goals while adhering to program guidelines and will be an active and engaged team member, able to respectfully communicate and resolve conflict in a timely manner.

Where are we located?

Situated in a lush valley on the shores of beautiful Shuswap Lake, the city of Salmon Arm is a popular year-round vacation destination thanks to its wide variety of cultural, seasonal, and outdoor recreation opportunities. From hiking to boating, to the annual Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival, there is no shortage of opportunities for building a healthy lifestyle in this family-friendly community.

We love it here…

“Twenty-four years ago, my family relocated to the interior of B.C. from the Lower Mainland in pursuit of a different-paced lifestyle. We were attracted to this area because of the warmth and friendliness of the people and of their strong sense of community. We were also attracted to the four seasons of recreational activities that nature has provided in our beautiful area. I have never looked back or regretted the decision to relocate and feel blessed to live and work in this community.” – Dorothy Crandell, Patient Care Coordinator
