Work setting: Language disorders, Articulation disorders, Speech-language and voice problems of hearing impaired, Rehabilitation centre and special health institution

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Conduct speech-language tests and examinations
• Diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders
• Instruct technicians and students
• Supervise technical and support staff
• Develop, plan and implement remedial programs to address communication and swallowing disorders
• Hire and train staff
• Provide advice and educational services to patients and families
• Establish personalized care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide information regarding hearing loss and treatment

Credentials and Experience

• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
• 1 to 2 years of experience

Additional Information

Salary: $55.00 to $100.00 per hour, negotiable; 20 to 37.5 hours per week

Terms: Permanent, part-time, with day, evening, and flexible hours; starting as soon as possible
