Job summary

Speech and Hearing BC is seeking a registered Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult acute care inpatients and outpatients. You will collaborate with caregivers and team members to support optimal communication and swallowing. The role supports quality assurance, meetings, and education initiatives.

Northern Health context and BC regulatory standards guide practice within a university hospital setting in Northern BC.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
  • One year's clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting or equivalent.
  • Valid BC Driver's license where required.

Services may be provided directly to clients or through collaboration with caregivers and others to support optimal communication and swallowing. The role also supports departmental goals through participation in quality assurance, meetings, and educational initiatives.
