The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the execution of all marketing activities for Wetzel’s Pretzels Canada and Jugo Juice. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of digital platforms to help grow brand visibility and drive local store marketing initiatives.

This role requires collaboration with internal teams, graphic designers, and external agencies. The Marketing Specialist will play a critical part in managing brand presence across social media, overseeing content updates, and ensuring the brand is consistently represented across all digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities

Marketing Coordination & Execution

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to plan and execute national and local marketing initiatives.
  • Support day-to-day communication with franchise partners regarding marketing promotions, seasonal campaigns, and event coordination.
  • Coordinate with the graphic design team to produce marketing assets (print and digital), ensuring brand consistency.
  • Manage and update digital content across social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business Profile).
  • Liaise with external marketing agencies and service providers to deliver on campaigns, content creation, and advertising.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Curate and schedule engaging social media content tailored to the Canadian market.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics for social and digital campaigns, offering insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Respond to online engagement as needed or in collaboration with the operations or guest services teams.

Menu & Platform Management

  • Manage menu updates and digital listings through Advisia, ensuring accuracy and timely adjustments.
  • Oversee brand-related content across online platforms, including the brand portal, learning hub, and franchisee-facing resources.

Brand Support & Miscellaneous Duties

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of local store marketing campaigns to drive foot traffic and brand engagement.
  • Support the Senior Director in preparing presentations, communications, and marketing updates.
  • Take on administrative or ad hoc tasks that fall within the general scope of the marketing function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in food service, retail, or franchised environments.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts and digital content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business, etc.).
  • Familiarity with marketing coordination, event planning, and brand communications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Business Profile, and social scheduling platforms, experience with graphic design is an asset.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Advisia or similar menu management tools is considered a strong asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a must
