Job summary

National Bank Capital Markets is seeking a Talent Strategy and Programs Specialist to drive talent development initiatives in a dynamic CIB environment. You will coordinate onboarding, coaching, learning programs and career development, while partnering with leaders to attract and engage top talent.

You will lead internship programs, campus engagement, and recruitment events, and push employer branding initiatives to strengthen NB Capital Markets’ position as an employer of choice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field required.
  • 5–6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in talent management, acquisition, learning and development, or employer branding.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support delivery of talent development programs (onboarding, coaching, learning, career development).
  • Plan, execute, and improve talent programs aligned with business priorities.
  • Partner with Campus Recruitment and leaders to run internship programs and recruitment events.
  • Drive employer branding and campus attraction initiatives.

A career as a Talent Strategy and Programs Specialist in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Talent Strategy team at National Bank Capital Markets means playing a key role in the execution and delivery of talent initiatives that support the growth and success of the business. In this role, you will coordinate programs across talent development, employee experience, early talent, and employer branding while partnering with leaders and stakeholders to attract, develop, and engage top talent. As part of a growing Talent Strategy function, you will help bring talent initiatives to life, ensure seamless program delivery, and contribute to a positive employee and candidate experience. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and collaborative approach will be key to your success.

Your Job

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of talent development programs that strengthen leadership capabilities, accelerate employee growth, and support future workforce needs, including onboarding, coaching, technical learning, and career development initiatives.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of talent programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and an exceptional employee experience.
  • Partner with Campus Recruitment and business leaders to deliver internship programs, campus engagement initiatives, and recruitment events that support the attraction and development of early talent.
  • Drive employer branding and campus attraction initiatives, including industry events, student programs, case competitions, and partnerships that strengthen National Bank Capital Markets' visibility and reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, employee resource groups, and Inclusion, Diversity and Equity teams to support initiatives that foster employee engagement, inclusion, culture, and belonging.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, talent metrics, market trends, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support data-driven decision‑making.

Your Team

The Talent Strategy team plays a key role in delivering talent initiatives that support the growth and long-term success of CIB. As part of a growing and evolving function, the team partners with business leaders and stakeholders to execute programs that enhance talent attraction, employee development, employee engagement, employer branding, and the overall employee experience.

Reporting to the Director, Talent Strategy, you will collaborate with leaders and partners across Canada and New York to execute on impactful initiatives that help attract, develop, and retain top talent. This role offers unique exposure across Talent Development, Learning & Development, Early Talent, Employer Branding, Employee Experience, and Talent Programs.

This is a hands‑on role that combines program coordination, stakeholder management, project execution, and employee engagement activities. You will work closely with HR partners, business leaders, Campus Recruitment, Marketing, and employee groups to ensure successful delivery of talent initiatives across the organization.

This role is based in Toronto and offers a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. The work model may evolve to 5 days in the office based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with 5 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in talent management, talent acquisition, campus recruitment, learning and development, employer branding, employee experience, or related talent programs.
  • Experience coordinating programs, events, initiatives, or projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to leverage data and tools such as Excel and PowerPoint to support decision‑making.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high‑quality results.
  • Availability to travel within Canada on a quarterly basis to support business and talent initiatives.
