Job summary

BHP Group’s Jansen Mine Site in Leroy, SK is seeking a Specialist Site Operations Mining Systems to keep OT and IT systems running safely and reliably across our operations, acting as the link between technology and the frontline.

You will troubleshoot incidents, support end-user devices and software deployments, monitor performance, and work with operations teams, technology partners, and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that improve site productivity and safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting OT/IT or industrial tech in an operations setting.
  • Knowledge of service management processes and tech support.
  • Experience with SAP Work Management or ServiceNow.

The Challenge Ahead

As a Specialist Site Operations Mining Systems, you'll help keep critical technology systems running safely and reliably across our operations. You'll be the link between technology and the frontline, providing hands‑on support for OT and IT systems that enable site productivity and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support operational technology and information technology systems across site operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and technology-related issues.
  • Maintain and support end‑user devices, software deployments, system patching, and infrastructure assets.
  • Monitor system performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement practical solutions.
  • Partner with operational teams, technology partners, and stakeholders to understand and support business needs.
  • Contribute to safe, reliable, and secure technology services through effective risk and safety management practices.
What You’ll Bring to the Role

We're interested in individuals who are curious, customer-focused, and motivated by problem-solving.

You will bring:

  • Experience supporting OT, IT, or industrial technology systems in an operational environment.
  • Knowledge of service management processes and technology support practices.
  • Experience working with SAP Work Management, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • A qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting mining, manufacturing, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments.
Work Location

This position is based at our Jansen Mine Site in Leroy, SK, offering a rotational schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off. For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.
