A leading luxury jewellery store is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Montreal. This role involves managing inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with operational controls. Candidates should have a college degree in accounting and relevant experience in inventory control, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Under the general direction of the Inventory Control Director, the Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory to maintain average shrink levels at or below agreed upon percentage, by acting as a liaison for the retail locations, and different Head Office departments. He / she resolves inventory discrepancies due to turnover, staff reductions, transactional errors and the value of the merchandise. In addition, this position ensures that all operational and internal accounting controls are in place or are changed / updated dependent on observations and results during a physical inventory, weekly and monthly closing. The incumbent will also oversee the accounting management over the remaining non-perpetual inventories.
