Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) in Norfolk County is seeking a proactive Human Resources Specialist on a contract basis to support employee relations, policy administration, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work with leadership to ensure fair HR practices, manage investigations, onboarding to offboarding, ESA and Human Rights compliance, and maintain HR documentation while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in HR or related field.
  • CHRP designation asset or in progress.
  • Minimum 2 years HR experience focused on employee relations and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary resource for employee relations and guide team members and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead and conduct workplace investigations with documentation and timely resolution.
  • Provide coaching on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution to leadership.
  • Support full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Monitor accommodations in compliance with ESA and Human Rights Code.

Our team thrives on collaboration, safety, and respect for people and the environment.Position SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist (Contract Position) to join our dynamic HR team. This role is instrumental in supporting employee relations, policy administration, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to team members and leadership, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely HR practices across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary resource for employee relations, offering guidance to team members, supervisors, and managers on HR policies and procedures.Lead and conduct workplace investigations (e.g., harassment, violence, misconduct), ensuring thorough documentation, timely resolution, and professional communication of findings.Provide coaching and consultation to leadership on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.Support the administration of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.Monitor and manage workplace accommodation in compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Human Rights Code.Stay current with employment legislation and provide recommendations to ensure organizational compliance.Draft and maintain HR documentation, including reports, policies, and investigation summaries.Champion a positive workplace culture by promoting fairness, respect, and open communication.Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support departmental goals.QualificationsPost-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field.CHRP designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset.Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee/labour relations and conflict resolution.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.Strong knowledge of ESA, Human Rights legislation, and workplace investigation protocols.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Why Join TTCA?A culture of continuous improvement and innovationOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCommitment to safety, diversity, and community engagementCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualificationsEqual Opportunity Employer Toyotetsu Canada Inc. is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment.
