Grill Hut in Sydney, NS is looking for a Specialist Chef who is self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills. You will manage kitchen operations, monitor costs, develop menus and train cooks to maintain high quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, English fluency, a Food Safety Certificate, and the ability to supervise a team. The position offers permanent, full-time work with hourly wages from CAD 16.00 to 20.00 and multiple rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Track food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.

• The candidate will be expected to keep track of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.

• The candidate must supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate will be expected to train cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals as well as specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising cooks and other kitchen personnel.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions.

Job Requirements
