Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal is seeking an Applications Specialist to lead IT installations, provide escalation support, and manage rollouts across store locations.

You will install hardware and software, coordinate network setups, and ensure reliable operations for dynamic retail environments. You will travel to new store openings, document configurations, and collaborate with vendors to optimize systems such as Windows 11, Google Workspace, and mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT installations, escalations, rollouts, and hardware deployments.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years experience as a Help Desk Technician.
• Strong networking, systems administration, and troubleshooting skills.
• Bilingual in French and English for daily communication.
• Willing to travel and flexible shifts; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate IT installations including technical hardware, networking equipment, and software systems across various locations.
• Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, providing troubleshooting expertise and guidance to resolve issues promptly.
• Manage the deployment of software updates, patches, and new technologies, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to operations.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware components such as computers, printers, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Travel and coordinate IT setup for new store openings, including network setup, POS system installation, staging/prepping computers and hardware.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
• Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, manage service contracts, and elevate issues as necessary.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Specialist to join our team and oversee a variety of critical tasks including IT installations, escalations support, rollouts, hardware installations, and new store openings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to resolving issues efficiently.

• Experience with Manage Engine (patch management) & Airwatch;
• College diploma in Computer Science, Management Information System (MIS) or a related discipline;
• Proven experience in IT support, including installations, escalations, rollouts, and hardware deployments;
• Minimum 2 to 5 years experience as a Help Desk Technician;
• Strong technical proficiency in networking, systems administration, and troubleshooting methodologies;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Proven abilities in PC configuration;
• Expert level knowledge of Windows 11 and Google-related applications (Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.);
• Knowledge of Apple-related hardware (iPads, etc.);
• General PC troubleshooting and repair knowledge;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
• Must be available to work flexible shifts (including weekends or nights) and on call on rotation;
• Must be able to travel occasionally;
• A+ certification an asset;
• Experience in retail considered an asset.
