Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Specialist, Accounts Payable to join its Merchandise AP team in Oakville, Ontario. You will manage 3-way match issues and provide insightful reporting to improve AP performance.

The role requires 2–5 years in Finance/Accounting, knowledge of PeopleSoft or SAP, and advanced Excel/Power BI skills. A university degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Specialist, Accounts Payable to join their Merchandise AP team in Oakville, Ontario.

What You'll Do

• Resolve 3-way match exceptions for high-maintenance vendors as identified by the Manager of Merch AP, working directly with vendors or CTC departments to resolve systemic issues and improve the 3-way match success rate.
• Provide project support as a Subject Matter Expert for Merch AP including accurate current state process details and meaningful input for future state proposals.
• Complete general ad-hoc reporting requests from the Manager of Merch AP and any ad-hoc or regular reporting requests from external departments as approved by the Manager, Merch AP.
• Identify needs for new queries within the department and develop private queries to be promoted to production as needed.
• Complete and update standardised process documentation for all Merch AP Ops functions under CTR, MARKS, and FGL.
• Provide training to payment representatives as needed.

What You Bring

• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• VBA programming and SQL would be an asset.
• Strong financial acumen to quickly learn and understand the logic behind Merchandise AP.
• Experience in Corporate Retail or Supply Chain would be an asset.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft or an equivalent Financial System (SAP, JDE, JDA, Manhattan, Oracle) working within the Accounts Payable module.
• Knowledge of PMM.
• University degree in Finance/Accounting or a business-related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience working in a Finance/Accounting role or related function within PeopleSoft or an equivalent large-scale Financial System.

Salary

Broadband salary range: $44,000 to $73,000 CAD annually. Typical hiring range: $50,000 – $55,000 CAD per year.
