Job summary

Keewaytinook Okimakanak Board of Education is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher to design and deliver individualized educational services for students with special needs across remote communities.

The role requires an OCT-qualified teacher with a university degree in Special Education (or SERT certification) and experience in supporting school-based special education programs, including assessing learning disorders and managing behavior.

Qualifications

• Proven effective classroom and student behavior management skills.

• Working knowledge of educational technology applications.
• Strong technology skills.
• Ability to travel extensively to remote fly-in First Nations throughout the school year.

Job description

The Special Education Resource Teacher is required to perform a range of duties including but not limited to planning, developing, delivering and evaluating appropriate individualized educational services for students with special education needs.

Salary:up to $120,369 based on education and experience
