St. Joan of Arc (Oakville), Sacred Heart of Jesus (Burlington), Guardian Angels (Milton)

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 2, 2025

END DATE: July 25, 2025

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 11:30 am

RATE OF PAY: $17.98 - $36.47

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Prepare and deliver language lessons for in-class and online settings as needed.
• Organize and maintain the classroom in school or online, including keeping daily logs of activities, lessons, and student attendance.
• Supervise students during the 2.5 hours of instruction.
• Instruct students at various levels of linguistic competence.
• Adhere to and work within the parameters of Board Policies and Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified teachers with qualifications in a second language are preferred.
• Must demonstrate competency in the international language of instruction and have a good working knowledge of English.
• Successful classroom teaching experience, preferably with elementary students.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with a variety of learners.
• High energy and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:

• Resume and cover letter.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening dated within six months.
• Copies of certificates, diplomas, designations, and/or undergraduate degrees.
• Two letters of professional reference, dated within the year.
