Job summary

School District No. 27 in British Columbia is seeking a part-time, temporary teacher for Spanish and Psychology at the secondary level. The assignment is 57.1% FTE, afternoons in blocks C and D, effective immediately until the incumbent returns, with potential extension to 30 June 2027.

Salary is based on the district grid and pro-rated to the FTE. Applicants must hold BC Teacher Regulation Branch Certification, be fluent in Spanish and English, and be eligible to work in Canada.

The current salary range is $63, 347.00 to $116, 190.00 per annum (pro-rated to the FTE of the assignment), paid over 10 months.

Special Qualifications Required

• Training and experience teaching Spanish and Psychology at the secondary level
• Fluent in both oral and written Spanish and English
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. This position will not be supported by an LMIA job offer.
• Valid BC Teacher Regulation Branch Certification. Letter of Permission may be considered to applicants who are fluent in Spanish and who have experience working with secondary school age students.

Our local teachers' union, the Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers' Association, also boasts strong collective agreement language regarding Professional Development as well as financial support for their members to engage in opportunities.
