Job summary

CNA Insurance in Montreal seeks an experienced underwriter to manage renewals and endorsements, collaborating with underwriters and brokers to ensure prudent risk decisions. You will document and analyze files, execute pricing strategies, and act as a liaison to resolve client/account issues.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Property & Casualty underwriting and related documentation.
Strong time management and analytical abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

Underwrite renewals and endorsements within delegated authority.
Perform underwriting analysis and documentation for renewals per guidelines.
Collaborate with underwriters and agencies to clarify decisions and gather information.
Manage renewal books, triage applications, and outline next steps for accounts.
Serve as liaison to resolve issues (billing, risk control, etc.) across CNA.
Document files ensuring completeness, compliance, and quality.
Execute advanced pricing strategies and document pricing rationale.
Complete quotes and negotiate with external partners within authority.
Act as the first contact for producers/customers on account matters.
Assist in marketing products/services and conduct field visits.
Leverage systems/workflows; coach colleagues and share best practices.
Stay current on business strategy, regulations, and trends.
