Job description

A Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while managing food provisions, assisting with guest queries, and controlling costs.



What will I be doing?

The Sous Chef, working alongside the Executive Chef, will be responsible for managing various kitchen operations to ensure high standards of quality and service. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing all kitchen operations, including quality, operational, and administrative functions.
  • Overseeing food provision to Food and Beverage outlets and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Handling guest queries promptly and efficiently to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Ensuring food quality and proper storage.
  • Contributing to menu development based on guest feedback.
  • Maintaining consistent high-quality food production across all hotel outlets.
  • Managing customer relations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Optimizing resource management through effective staff scheduling.
  • Supporting brand standards through staff training and assessment.
  • Leading the kitchen team to ensure a well-organized and motivated environment.
  • Controlling costs to meet financial targets without compromising standards.
  • Collaborating with other departments and maintaining good relationships.
  • Adhering to security, fire, health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.
  • Practicing environmental awareness.
