The Role

The Sous Chef will lead culinary and stewarding teams, ensuring service excellence, developing partnerships, and maintaining high standards in food quality and safety.

Job Duties
  1. Motivate and lead culinary staff, fostering communication and team spirit.
  2. Train staff on duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  3. Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  4. Prepare and cook meals, create new recipes, and lead menu implementation.
  5. Manage food and labor costs, recruitment, equipment needs, and safety standards.
  6. Ensure high-quality food production and presentation.
  7. Maintain proper storage, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  8. Flexible shifts are required.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a resort setting, with at least 5 years of cooking experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Cook’s trade certification or equivalent.
  • Secondary school diploma; education in Food & Beverage or Hospitality is a plus.
  • Understanding of labor and cost controls.
