Qualifications

About the Opportunity

  1. Planning and preparing meals according to established standards, procedures, recipes and menus;
  2. Ordering, receiving, storing and rotating inventory of all required food and supplies;
  3. Maintaining safety and sanitation in the kitchen to meet legislative and organizational standards;
  4. Communicating regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction with foodservice;
  5. Supervising and mentoring cooks to ensure performance meets standards;

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  1. A Culinary Arts Diploma and a valid Red Seal Certificate.
  2. A valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
  3. Minimum 2 years of both culinary and leadership experience.
  4. Experience with large quantity food preparation.
  5. Ability to read & follow detailed recipes/instructions as required.
  6. Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire.
  7. A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
