PetroChina Canada (PCC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of PetroChina Company Limited which is partially owned by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), a state-owned enterprise. CNPC is China's largest oil company and the world's third largest oil company, operating 91 energy-related projects in over 35 countries and regions. PCC has invested billions of dollars in an asset-rich portfolio of upstream, midstream and downstream operations. In Alberta, this includes our MacKay River and Dover oilsands projects, Duvernay Shale Gas and a 50% interest in the Grand Rapids Pipeline. In British Columbia, we hold joint venture interests in the Groundbirch tight gas project and LNG Canada.

PetroChina Canada is recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join the Supply Chain Management (SCM)Team in Calgary. We have one permanent role and one 1-year term role available.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, SCM, the Sourcing Specialist (Materials & Services) is responsible for developing the sourcing execution plans, with a primary focus on Materials procurement, that will support all areas related to PetroChina Canada’s (PCC) projects, operations, and asset development. The Sourcing Specialist will be instrumental in understanding all key areas of procurement management such as but not limited to, Materials procurement for SAG-D and shale gas operations & maintenance, supply base, liabilities, risk, warranties, insurance and standard terms and conditions. Work with key business stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that the materials and services supplies are sourced and secured in a timely and most economical manner while ensuring alignment with Company Policies and Procedures.
Accountabilities
Providing professional procurement support for the acquisition of materials, typically required for operations and maintenance of SAG-D & shale gas facilities, under various categories such as mechanical, HVAC, rotary equipment, electrical & instrumentation etc., as well as taking on service contracting activities as needed, including :
Support and contribute to the annual SCM objectives, plans and strategies in alignment with PCC’s corporate objectives :
