What Will You Do

Reporting to the General Manager Supply Chain Business process, the Sourcing Specialist partners with business units to provide strategic guidance and support in the acquisition of all goods and services in the most efficient, competitive, and economic manner while minimizing risk in leading an open, transparent and flexible process. This role will act as a consultant to their business units to provide supply chain expertise as well as proactive recommendations to support business operations.

What Are Some Of The Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of various business units and crafting solutions to address them.
  • Develop and implementing sourcing strategies.
  • Provide guidance to team and help to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support the acquisition of services efficiently and transparently.
  • Manage bid processes, including preparing documents, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues with suppliers.
  • Oversee Supplier Relationship Management programs and onboarding for new vendors.
  • Oversee and manage supplier contracts, performance, and compliance with service agreements.
  • Assess supplier to ensure alignment with business needs and corporate values.
  • Assess and manage risks related to suppliers.
  • Manage end-to-end RF(x) processes.
  • Provide training on inventory systems as needed.
  • Provide backup to other Sourcing Specialists as needed.

What Do You Need To Bring

  • The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
  • Post Secondary bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating contract terms and conditions effectively.
  • Strong understanding of best practices related to sourcing, regulations, and standards for goods and services.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of industry tools, databases, standard contract clauses, and aids for effective sourcing services.
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Strong communication skills including digital, verbal, and presentations.

WHAT OPTIONAL ELEMENTS SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION (all Are Assets)

  • Bilingualism in English or French.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Supply Chain experience working on/with construction projects.
  • Experience in training internal clients on processes and systems.
  • Experience in an environment of similar scope and complexity.
