Job Title: Welder at United Rentals

As a Welder, you will maintain and repair shoring and shielding equipment to maximize branch productivity, dedicated to Trench Safety rental equipment. You will have the chance to improve your skills daily and advance within our Service Department, providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Layout and apply the appropriate weld type according to specifications.
2. Inspect, repair, and paint rental equipment upon return to ensure safety and readiness.
3. Perform non-structural repairs or modifications per manufacturer’s specifications.
4. Support active shoring installation welding on job sites.
5. Fabricate projects as needed in the facility.
6. Travel to customer sites for repair and maintenance as required.
7. Complete work orders and maintain inventory of parts.
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
9. Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification from a welding school.
3. 1-2 years of experience in Arc, MIG, and TIG welding.
4. Knowledge of metals and materials for repairs.
5. Ability to weld efficiently and accurately.
6. Ability to identify appropriate welding equipment and materials.
7. Knowledge of OSHA requirements related to trench and excavation safety.
8. Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
9. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
10. Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.
