As a welder working in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerlea, you will be responsible for making high-quality welds on the construction site. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the success of various construction site operations.

What You Will Do

A VALID CCQ CARD AND PRESENCE ON SITE ARE MANDATORY

  1. Read and interpret technical drawings and welding components;
  2. Prepare surfaces to be welded using manual and mechanical tools;
  3. Assemble parts to be welded according to drawing specifications;
  4. Use different types of welding (MIG, TIG, electric) to join parts together;
  5. Check weld quality by performing non-destructive tests;
  6. Clean and polish welds for a clean, professional finish;
  7. Work safely, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment;
  8. Perform maintenance and repair tasks as required.
This role could be for you if you have
  1. Valid CCQ certificate of competence;
  2. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  3. Valid driver's license;
  4. DEP in welding - asset;
  5. Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy loads.
