Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking a General Labourer to perform safe sorting, cleaning, and material handling to support plant operations and uphold safety standards.

This role suits reliable, physically capable individuals who can work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, variable environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform repetitive / physical tasks for extended periods and lift items up to 25 lb.
• Must have effective interpersonal skills to communicate, understand and respond to questions, instructions, signs, signals and safety training.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment which varies based on weather conditions.
• Diversity is a key value to the organization and working collaboratively with others is a must.
• Able to work under timelines and take direction from direct supervisor; punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PPE equipment is utilized.
• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into designated areas.
• Pull contaminants from sorting line.
• Perform cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping.
• Report system problems immediately to Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and surrounding area.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and an excellent safety and work quality record.
