Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a qualified Sonographer in Kelowna, Canada. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and collaborate with various health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
  • Current certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS as required for the assigned practice area.
  • Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations.
  • Works in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians, and other health care professionals.
  • Adheres to the established vision and values of the organization.

About the Job

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals.

Locations

Okanagan: Beautiful beaches, lakes, orchards, vineyards, golfing and world‑class ski resorts all just minutes away from the main centres of Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton and Oliver.

Thompson, Cariboo, and Shuswap: Spectacular scenery, agricultural abundance, provincial parks, culturally and historically rich communities such as Williams Lake, Kamloops, Salmon Arm and Revelstoke.

Kootenay’s wilderness capital of BC offers majestic mountain ranges, glacier‑fed lakes and lush forests for skiing, hiking, biking and camping. Home to sunny, laid back communities like Cranbrook, Trail, Nakusp and Grand Forks.

Applicable positions may qualify for up to $20,000 as a recruitment incentive and/or be eligible for relocation allowance.

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).

Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).

Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
