Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a Sales Associate who delivers fast, friendly service by actively helping customers find solutions for their projects. You’ll share product knowledge, greet and thank customers, and collaborate with teammates to meet store goals.

With 1–2 years in retail or related trades, you’ll build knowledge across departments, promote available services, and maintain a safe, organized sales floor in shift-friendly hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail or trade experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and thank customers in the department and provide basic service in adjacent departments.
• Escort customers to appropriate merchandise and proactively seek out customers throughout the store.
• Ask open-ended questions about projects to determine needs and expertise.
• Promote services such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, Pro Services, etc.
• Discuss options (good, better, best) and suggest related items outside of the department.
• Educate customers about the whole project.
• Use empowerment program when necessary to satisfy customers.
• Execute daily stock maintenance: all products signed, displayed, and clean.
• Maintain knowledge of all products in department and adjacent departments.
• Proactively seek knowledge on all products and services.
• Follow all safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
