MPA has been retained by a leading global digital solutions company that works in both the public and private sectors. For over 30 years, our client has been providing software solutions to the commercial, healthcare, and public sectors. You might have used our client’s software at some point in your life. They are now looking for a Solution Architect to join their team in Halifax or Toronto (Remote).

You’ll manage, coach, and develop a small team, focusing on employee performance and career development. You’ll also provide leadership and direction as you solve challenging problems together.

As a technical leader, you will collaborate with peers to develop policies and standards, share knowledge, and mentor others. You’ll advise on new technologies and approaches, with opportunities to learn and grow.

Minimum (essential) Requirements

• Successfully delivered software designs for multi-tiered modern applications.
• Understanding of solution architecture concepts and ability to communicate and negotiate these with customer architects.
• Experience prioritizing non-functional concerns and incorporating them into application design.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical designs through conversation, documentation, and presentations.
• Effective decision-making skills in fast-paced delivery environments.
• Passion for developing people, demonstrated through managing, coaching, and developing junior team members.

Desirable

• Experience accountable for technology delivery challenges of various sizes, e.g., projects, multi-team programs.
• Proactive in developing business across accounts with sales and account managers.
• Experience in managing teams, setting objectives, providing feedback, and leading performance reviews.
• Ability to prioritize time across multiple major projects.
• Active participation in technology communities and sharing views on technology.
