What You’ll Be Doing

The Solution Designer - AI Applications is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems for Generative AI Applications. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. The Senior Consultant, Application Development provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs. In addition, the role provides comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.

How You’ll Succeed

• Strategic Development & Execution: Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap.Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.

• Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements

• Technical Oversight: Utilize CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab Actions) for efficient deployment processes. Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes in Azure. Work with open-source LLMs (e.g., LLAMA, Mixtral) and develop applications that utilize these models. Write and tune prompts for LLMs, ensuring high-quality outputs for generative tasks. Develop indexing and chunking strategies for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications. Utilize Azure AI Search and other search solutions to enhance application functionality. Leverage Microsoft PromptFlow or RAGS evaluation matrix for application development and evaluation.

• Stakeholder Management: Act as thesolutionlead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 8-10+ years’ experience in. designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: Python Fast api, Frontend Frameworks(Vuejs, Reactjs, Angular), SQL and No SQL DB, Azure cloud infrastructure, Cache Management using Redis, Azure AI search or other vector supported search solution, LLM integrations using Open AI and Azure Open AI. Strong experience with Python environments (PyCharm, Jupyter, Visual Studio Code). Proven experience deploying cloud native applications (Azure App Services, Azure Functions). Advanced proficiency with Git and version control practices.
