What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Banking Centre Application Development team within CIBC supporting Frontline business. As a Solution Designer in the team, you will support technology strategy and roadmap building, lead technical design and delivery, modernize and maintain critical Banking Center applications. You will provide solutions for our business partners that may span multiple platforms, requiring you to collaborate with tech partners across CIBC. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems.

How You’ll Succeed

• Strategic Development & Execution:Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap.Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.Lead the team on how to leverage AI for improving processes and deliverables
• Strategy and Roadmap:Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements. Lead strategic initiatives by paving the way for the team with innovative solutions.
• Stakeholder Management:Act as thesolutionlead and interface with the working teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 10+ years of working experience in design large, enterprise scale applications ideally with technologies such as Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and JavaScript. You have experience assessing technical information and developing solutions that meet business needs while improving operational effectiveness. Working knowledge of GitHub, Azure, Docker, and security concepts. Proven AI adoption in day-to-day work. You have experience with Cloud development, Agile Delivery and/or DevOps .
