Kinaxis Inc. is seeking a Solution Architect, Enterprise Applications to bridge business strategy and technical execution. You will lead architecture across our enterprise application landscape, aligning solutions with standards and long-term technology strategy.

This role requires guiding complex initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and delivering architecture artifacts that drive measurable business impact. Hybrid work is available with Canada-wide flexibility.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in solution or enterprise applications architecture.
• Experience with multiple enterprise platforms and complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong skills in architecture modeling, data and integration architecture, and non-functional requirements.
• Ability to solve complex problems and influence technology direction with limited precedent.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into scalable, secure enterprise solutions across HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, and legal.
• Lead architecture for cross-functional initiatives; define approaches, patterns, and technical direction.
• Design end-to-end solutions balancing business value, security, cost, and governance.
• Develop architecture artifacts like designs, data flows, APIs, and diagrams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend responsible adoption opportunities.
• Partner with leaders to shape roadmaps and support build-versus-buy decisions.
• Communicate recommendations and risks to both technical and business audiences.
• Mentor teams, lead architecture reviews, and promote reusable patterns and standards.

What you will do

• Translate business needs and strategic objectives into scalable, secure enterprise solutions across HR, Finance, Procurement, IT Service Management, Corporate IT, Workplace Services, Legal, Security, collaboration, productivity, and enterprise data platforms.
• Lead architecture for complex, cross-functional initiatives, defining solution approaches, patterns, and technical direction.
• Design end-to-end solutions that balance business value, user experience, security, compliance, scalability, governance, and cost efficiency.
• Guide key architectural decisions throughout delivery, ensuring solutions remain aligned with intended business outcomes.
• Develop architecture artifacts including solution designs, integration patterns, data flows, APIs, workflows, and architecture diagrams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, and recommend practical, responsible adoption opportunities.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to shape roadmaps, evaluate technology investments, and support build-versus-buy decisions.
• Communicate architectural recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and impacts to both technical and business audiences.
• Mentor technical teams, lead architecture reviews, and promote reusable patterns, standards, and best practices across the organization.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in solution architecture, enterprise applications architecture, or related senior technical roles.
• Demonstrated architecture experience with one or more enterprise business platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, procurement platforms, or similar back-office enterprise application ecosystems
• Demonstrated success leading complex, enterprise-scale initiatives involving multiple business functions and stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in architecture modeling, business process and service design, data and integration architecture, API design, and non-functional requirements.
• Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and establish effective architectural approaches where limited precedent exists.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, privacy, compliance, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive decisions and alignment without direct authority.
