Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. in Toronto seeks a Solution Architect to design cloud-based distributed systems, APIs, and agentic AI capabilities, guiding architecture decisions across product teams. You will lead technical roadmaps and ensure secure adoption of new tech.

Strong leadership, rapid learning, and excellent communication with business partners are essential. Exposure to enterprise AI governance and regulated environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of architectural leadership or strong technical leadership transitioning to architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to design distributed systems, APIs and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
• Strong communication with business and technology partners; fluency in Operations domain and supporting tech.

Solution Architect - Cloud, Distributed Systems, APIs & Agentic AI

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop deep working knowledge of operational workflow and document management technologies using both current industry tooling and emerging agentic solutions.

Design solutions that bring the business vision to life while maintaining reliability as capabilities and user base expands.

Partner closely with delivery teams to evolve the technical roadmap for products.

Ensure safe adoption of technology that protects our clients and the organization, considering traditional security best practices and emerging threats.

Build relationships with product owners and delivery leads to understand business needs and find creative ways to solve them.

Analyze options to meet business needs and to meet rigorous safety and performance standards.

Present solutions to business partners and governance forums for feedback and approval.

Provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a solution.

Must Have

• 6+ years as an architect OR proven strong technical leadership transitioning to architecture.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technology partners and the curiosity to develop fluency in the Operations business domain and expertise in the technology that supports them.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology and business strategy.
• Demonstrated expertise designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud solutions.
• Messaging systems and event-driven architecture knowledge.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Nice-To-Have

• Exposure to agentic AI architectures, LLM deployment patterns, or enterprise AI governance frameworks.
• Exposure to workflow and document management technologies.
• Experience operating in financial services or similarly complex regulated enterprise environment.
