Job Description:

• Assist and support eHealth Projects and Operational Teams with solution strategy and design to ensure alignment with IEH architectural goals, principles, and standards.
• Assist in the development of solution requirements, standards, and guiding principles for IEH Services.
• Review and provide feedback on Architecture deliverables.
• The Solution Architect may also be called upon to provide content for architecture deliverables.
• Participate in Stage Gates used to determine if an initiative is ready to move forward.
• Regularly communicate with the appropriate EA representative(s).
• Ensure solutions are aligned with DH’s standards.
• Assist in the development of RFP(s) for Solution(s).
• Assist in the planning and implementation of Solution(s) as well as the DH digital transformation strategy.
• Regularly engage with the client teams for collaboration, guidance, and development.
• Other duties as assigned by Innovation and eHealth’s Enterprise Architect.

Mandate Requirements:

• A University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 15 years of IM/IT experience.
• A minimum of ten plus years of demonstrated experience as a lead Solution Architect on medium to large system development or COTS implementation projects.
• The referenced experience must have been obtained in the last fifteen years.
• Experience across multiple business units and/or organizations.
• Involvement of multiple direct project participants (i.e., more than 8).
• Experience dealing with business transformation issues as well as technical issues.

Scored Requirements:

• Capability of managing/leading a team of specialists, technical analysts, or programmers on information technology development projects. 5+ years
• Experience leading technical design and requirements gathering sessions, reviewing existing systems, technology, and solutions, and performing technical and solution due diligence. 5+ years
• Experience in developing Architecture and related deliverables. 5+ years
• Experience standing up and delivering enterprise solutions/services with a focus on maintainability and long-term lifecycles. 5+ years
• Solution analysis and delivery experience, including evaluation of custom solutions, COTS, SaaS, and PaaS options. 5+ years
• Experience in transformational projects as an architect with mentoring capabilities. 5+ years
• Hands-on experience as an architect in the eHealth space. 3+ years
