Job summary

Polar Racking Inc. in Mississauga, ON, is hiring a Project Lead, Engineering to own solar racking system design from structural concepts through manufacturing release and field support.

This hands-on leadership role requires engineering authority, coordination with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Project Management, and clear communication with customers and EPC partners. You will mentor junior engineers, drive cost reductions, and contribute to new product development while advancing standards

Qualifications

• 7+ years of structural or mechanical engineering experience, racking/structural steel experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, or Structural Engineering; P.Eng is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sign-off on structural packages, drawings, and BOMs prior to manufacturing release.
• Lead cross-functional engineering decisions with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
• Mentor junior and offshore engineers and review calculations and drawings.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities while balancing performance and manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain project plans and schedules for multiple projects.
