Join to apply for the Software Test Specialist, NOC role at Airbus.

The Software Test Specialist has industry experience in planning, documenting, executing, and automating tests, identifying defects, and proposing improvements to enhance product stability and user experience. They are capable of creating and maintaining automated test suites, as well as coaching other team members in those tasks.

The NAVBLUE Software Factory operates in an agile environment with cross-functional teams. The duties include executing test activities and providing guidance to team members on testing strategies, test coverage, and test review. The role involves participating in grooming and retrospective activities, with primary testing focus on NAVBLUE N-Ops Crew and other products as needed.

Testing environments span multiple platforms (Windows, Linux) and layers (REST, SOAP, GUI). Experience in converting manual test cases into automated tests is advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and other Test Specialists to understand requirements and define test plans.
• Design, document, and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts for NAVBLUE’s N-OC product.
• Execute manual and automated tests for functionality, performance, security, and usability.
• Manage test environments using virtual machines.
• Identify, log, and track defects and risks.
• Provide test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
• Monitor and improve automation effectiveness.
• Integrate automated testing with CI/CD systems.
• Maintain the reliability of testing tools.

Qualifications:

• College Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in software testing, automation, scripting, agile, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in developing automated scripts for various testing types.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and SAFe Agile Framework.
• Experience with AWS and testing tools (Insomnia, JMeter, Blazemeter).
• Knowledge of managing test environments with VMs (VMWare, AWS EC2).
• Industry experience in aviation and knowledge of Flight Ops Crew Scheduling systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python, Selenium, RESTful services, JSON, Jenkins, Gitlab, Gherkin/Cucumber.

Certifications:

• AWS Certificate.

English proficiency (spoken and written) is required.
