Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada seeks a Software Test Specialist/Engineer to verify CSCI code against requirements, design and execute test plans, and identify defects in collaboration with project engineering, systems engineering, and software teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, computer science or related mechatronics discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in software testing.
• Proficiency in test plans, test cases and test scripts development.
• Ability to develop automated test frameworks and document user instructions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain and hold a valid Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support project verification and software development planning.
• Review software and interface requirements specifications.
• Develop and maintain test plans, cases and scripts for manual and automated testing of CSCIs.
• Execute tests and communicate defects to software teams; retest resolutions.
• Ensure traceability of tests to requirements and manage test coverage.
• Participate in software development agile activities and SB/CCB meetings.
• Develop test reports and present to customers; create contractual reports (CDRL, DID).
• Help manage software test configuration baselines and change control.
