Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a QA/Automation Engineer in Canada to execute test cases and design robust software systems improving product quality. You will develop and maintain test automation infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues across cloud services and on-premise environments.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in a technical role, strong networking knowledge, and hands-on experience with Python, Jenkins, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, or related field.
• 4+ years in a technical role with client-server and networks.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSH, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching.
• Extensive experience configuring Windows and Linux servers and virtualization.
• Familiarity with QA processes and software development fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting with packet sniffers, traceroute, Windows Event Viewer.
• Proficient in Python scripting and automation development.
• Hands-on Jenkins CI/CD setup and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Docker containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases using both manual and automated testing techniques to ensure product quality.
• Design, develop, and maintain software systems to enhance functionality and reliability.
• Develop and maintain the test automation infrastructure and QA lab environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud services, implementing proactive solutions.
• Create, maintain, and monitor internal service performance metrics.
• Collaborate with software development, release QA, and system operations teams.
• Work with R&D and technical support to resolve issues via internal tracking system.
• Participate in customer calls for real-time troubleshooting.
