Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Software QA Specialist to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing cybersecurity business.

You will design test strategies, execute manual and automated testing, and work closely with Developers, PMs and other teams to understand features and customer use cases. Required 3–5 years in software testing, strong TCP/IP knowledge, and experience with virtualization environments and RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in software testing.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Experience with virtual machine environments (e.g., VMware/ESXi, OpenStack).
• Knowledge of firewalls, Linux, and network sniffing tools.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and UI/UX evaluation.
• Experience with scripting languages (shell, TCL, PERL, Python) is a plus.
• Ability to document defects clearly and reproduce results.
• Bachelor-level degree in CS/related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Developers and Product Managers to understand features and customer scenarios.
• Design test strategy, plans, and cases; maintain test specs.
• Execute manual and automated tests; create automation scripts.
• Identify and track defects; work with Devs to fix issues.
• Document release notes and user guides for new releases.
