Job summary

Citi is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to join a diverse, globally distributed team. You will maintain, extend, and refine the automation framework, building tools to improve testability and speed.

You will execute automated tests across UI and API layers while collaborating with stakeholders to align tests with business requirements. The role emphasizes strong coding skills in Java/Python, experience with modern automation frameworks, and familiarity with microservice architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant QA experience.
• 3+ years experience with Java, Python, Kubernetes, SQL.
• 3+ years experience and strong coding skills in at least one modern language - Java, Python, C#.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building BDD automation framework using Cucumber Selenium, Cypress, or Mocha.
• Good understanding of databases and object-oriented design.
• Familiar with tools like Postman, JIRA, Zephyr, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Basic knowledge of how microservice based architectures work.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Good communication skills.
• Prefer candidates having prior experience in Loan IQ.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements for testing activity.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets.
• Use GitHub and other AI assisted tools to improve speed, coverage and effectiveness.
