We are looking for a Quality Analyst to work closely with our engineering and software teams. What kinds of activities will you do in Software QA Test?

As our Software QA Tester, you'll focus on improving and maintaining efficient testing processes to support our rapid release schedule. You will primarily engage in manual testing of features and identifying regressions, ensuring the highest quality of our products.

You will start by becoming familiar with the product and the team, manually testing new features and thoroughly validating existing functionality. As you gain a deeper understanding of the platform, you will recommend and implement enhancements to our test case management and manual testing procedures.

You will be joining the software platform team. We are responsible for handling data once it leaves the sensor—storing, processing, and presenting it via web and mobile apps. We work closely with the hardware, firmware, manufacturing, support, and machine-learning teams. As our QA expert, your focus will be on manual platform and system testing, ensuring seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Confirming that new features behave as specified
• Developing and executing detailed manual test plans
• Thoroughly documenting test results and identifying inconsistencies
• Working collaboratively with developers and leaders to systematically improve quality

Must Haves:

• Understanding of common QA techniques and concepts
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and systematic problem-solving

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in manual testing methodologies
• Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, Java, or Dart.
• Post-secondary education in a related field or experience in Software QA
• Experience developing structured test plans
• Experience testing mobile apps (iOS and Android) as well as browser-based software

This is a hybrid role with an office in downtown Kitchener, work-from-home 3 or 4 days a week available.

The compensation range for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 per year plus great benefits & 4 weeks' vacation. Within this range your offer will be primarily influenced by your strong communication and prior applicable experience and/or education.
