Job Description

Fortinet is offering an exciting opportunity and seeking a Software Dev QA to join the FortiAuthenticator team. The FortiAuthenticator is an identity and access management device that provides ZTNA, Single Sign-On, multi-factor authentication, and guest management services to create effective security policies on a secured corporate network. It acts as the gatekeeper of authorization into the Fortinet secured enterprise network, identifying users, querying access permissions from third-party systems, and communicating this information to FortiGate devices for use in Identity-Based Policies.

Job Responsibilities

1. Run manual test cases and contribute to the creation and maintenance of test cases and plans.
2. Set up and maintain various test systems involving multiple network components, using physical or virtual machines (VM).
3. Reproduce and troubleshoot issues with developers.
4. Run and review results of regression test systems.
5. Implement and maintain automated test software using Python and Bash.
6. Create test reports in internal tracking systems.
7. Monitor and handle customer responses and issues.
8. Collaborate with developers, team leads, and other QA specialists.

Job Requirements

1. Ability to work on Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
2. Experience with Python and Bash.
3. Familiar with TCP/IP networking, firewalls, switching, and routing.
4. Experience with network system installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
5. Experience with version control systems like Subversion, Git, etc., is a plus.
6. Experience with databases such as MySQL, SQLite, etc., is a plus.
7. Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and security technologies is a plus.
8. Good communication skills, both oral and written.

The salary range for this full-time position in Canada is expected to be between $79,000 and $97,000 annually. Exact offers depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
