Your Role at impact.com:

The Technical Business Analyst will serve as a crucial link between engineering and other departments, ensuring smooth communication and efficient operations. This role involves coordinating cross-functional initiatives, maintaining and optimizing internal systems for tracking engineering activities, analyzing processes for improvement, and bridging communication gaps. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills, a technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced software engineering environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate Cross-Department Initiatives: You will facilitate communication and coordination between engineering, product, and other departments. This involves ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain Internal Business Systems: You will manage and optimize our internal systems for tracking engineering projects, team activities, and progress. This includes ensuring data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Analyze and Improve Processes: You will analyze existing engineering processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Bridge Technical Communication: You will assist in translating technical information into clear and concise language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support Project Management: You will assist in tracking project progress, identifying potential roadblocks, and facilitating timely resolution.

What You Have:

  • Technical degree: Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or math.
  • Prior Experience: 3+ years of experience in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational Proficiency: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with software development concepts and comfortable working in a technical environment.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.

Bonus Points If:

  • Experience working within a software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with project management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies.

Salary range: $95,000.00 - $107,000.00 per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
